ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

Accounting Assistant Qualifications:

• Combination of education, certifications, and experience.

Experience

• Experience with payroll systems and accounting software (e.g., ADP, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll documentation
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Payroll & Accounting Skills

• Ability to prepare and process payroll accurately and on time
• Knowledge of salary calculations, overtime, deductions, and benefits
• Ability to reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end closings
• Basic understanding of statutory deductions (tax, social security, pensions)

Additional Requirements

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Summary The Accounting Assistant – Payroll supports the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll in compliance with company policies and applicable labor and tax regulations. The role assists with payroll calculations, record maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting while ensuring confidentiality and supporting coordination between the HR and finance departments.
