Accounting Assistant

About the role

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the company's daily accounting operations, particularly in Accounts Payable, cash advances, petty cash replenishment, and BIR tax compliance. The role ensures that financial transactions are properly documented, processed, recorded, and filed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Process and monitor Accounts Payable, including invoices, billing statements, payment requests, and supporting documents.
• Process employee cash advances and monitor their timely liquidation.
• Process petty cash replenishments and verify supporting receipts and documents.
• Prepare and file BIR returns and process tax filings through eFPS.
• Monitor tax filing and payment deadlines to ensure compliance and avoid penalties.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documents.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Preferably with experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, tax compliance, or general accounting

• Knowledge of BIR tax returns and eFPS filing is an advantage

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work both independently and meet deadlines

• Willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge and skills

• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
