Accounting Assistant

Key responsibilities

• Record transactions such as trade payables, advances to employees for operating expenses, replenishment of petty cash funds
• Prepare checks for payment to suppliers and other operating expenses after ensuring that all data and documents are in proper order
• Provide Account Payable aging report on weekly basis
• File and maintain financial records such as invoices, official receipts, check vouchers, and others
• Filing and remittance of VAT returns on quarterly basis
• Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts on monthly basis including Trade Payables, Advances O/E, VAT
• Assist in the submission of statutory reportorial requirements to agencies such as BOC, BIR, SEC and other agencies
• Assist in inventory monitoring and control which includes supervision of day-to-day activities of inventory and warehouse personnel, accurate recording and monitoring of inventory transactions and regular inventory count reconciliation with records
• Provide support to finance and other departments as needed and required by the management

Description and Requirements:

• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with computerized accounting system and procedures
• Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
• Hands-on experience with Excel and accounting software (e.g Quickbooks)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred - Accountancy)
• Preferred experience: General Accountant, BIR and Taxes, Payables
