Accounting Assistant

The finance department will provide the finance function for the company’s and also the accounting function for the operational costs of the LNG tankers. Finance will work alongside other departments such as technical, purchasing, operational and HSEQ departments.  The accounting software will be provided by ShipNet, an integrated vessel maintenance, requisitioning, purchasing and financial system.

Purpose of the Position

The position will sit within the Finance Department, report to the Finance Manager and be supervised and mentored by the OPEX Management Accountant.  The job holder will work along-side a second accounting assistant and both roles will be fully inter-changeable.  Accounts assistants will also provide processing support to the Fleet manning Cost Coordinator.

• Team player with good communication skills at all levels.

• Flexible with good time management.

• Fluent English and Chinese.

• Excellent telephone manner

• Studying towards a recognized accountancy qualification or a keen interest to embark on a financial career essential.

• Accounts payable or broad accounting experience desirable.

• Shipping industry experience desirable.

• Knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

• ShipNet software experience desirable.
