ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

JOB SUMMARY

Generally responsible for computing, classifying and recording of numerical data to keep financial records of FEMI complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Analyze financial information and may assist in the preparation of financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Analyze the following accounts and prepare necessary adjusting journal entries:

• Advances to/from stockholders
• Input Tax
• Withholding Tax Payable
• Construction Deposit
• Output Tax Payable
• Other current assets
• Expanded Withholding Tax
• Notes Payable
• Offsetting Payable
• Accounts Payable
• Retention Payable
• Dividend Payable
• Loans Payable
• PhilHealth Premium Payable
• SSS loans Payable
• HDMF Premium Payable
• HDMF Loan Payable

2. Reconcile advances to/from affiliates.

3. Prepare lapsing of schedule of fixed assets.

4. Reconcile bank records.

5. Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT schedule for remittance.

6. Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly BIR returns (1601-C, 1601-E, 2550M, 2550Q, 1702Q and 2551M).

7. Prepare Annual Information of Creditable Income Taxes Withheld (Expanded)/Income Payments Exempt from Withholding Tax (1604-E).

8. Perform other related task from time to time.
