What they need
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Brokerage Reconciliation: Reconcile brokerage and commission statements received from AMCs against internal records to verify that brokerage due to the firm has been received accurately and in full.
AMC Coordination: Liaise with respective AMCs to follow up on pending or delayed brokerage payments, resolve discrepancies, and obtain the statements and confirmations needed to close open items.
Discrepancy Tracking: Maintain a running tracker of brokerage receivables by AMC, flagging outstanding or mismatched amounts to management on a regular basis.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform periodic reconciliation of bank statements against the firm's books of accounts.
Accounting Entries: Record day-to-day accounting entries accurately and keep ledgers up to date.
