Accounting Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join the finance team at City Garden Grand Hotel. This is a full-time position based in Makati City, Metro Manila. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the accounting department's day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the smooth functioning of our hotel's financial management systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting expertise within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements under the supervision of senior accounting staff

• Maintaining accurate and organized records and documentation

• Performing data entry tasks and ensuring information accuracy across accounting databases

• Supporting the audit process by gathering and organizing required financial documentation

• Liaising with departments across the hotel to resolve billing and payment queries

• Assisting with other accounting duties as assigned by the accounting manager

What we're looking for

• Completed secondary education or higher; qualifications in accounting, bookkeeping or related field are preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications
• Excellent organisational abilities and capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Reliability, integrity and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
