Accounting Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting and finance team with daily financial operations. The role involves handling basic bookkeeping, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Philippine accounting standards and government regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare and issue sales invoices and official receipts
• Encode and maintain accurate financial records
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports
• Help in filing and organizing accounting documents
• Assist in preparation of tax-related documents (VAT, withholding tax, etc.)
• Support BIR compliance requirements and submissions
• Maintain records for SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding billing and payments

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related course
• At least 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Familiar with BIR forms and local tax compliance is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Data entry and recordkeeping
• Good communication skills
