Accounting Assistant

About the Role

An accounting assistant position responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining financial records, and assisting with accurate and timely accounting processes. The role involves handling accounting transactions, supporting accounts receivable and payable, preparing journal entries, maintaining financial documents, and providing administrative support to the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records
• Prepare and record journal entries and other accounting transactions
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities
• Prepare and maintain accounting records, documents, and reports
• Assist with account reconciliations and financial data entry
• Monitor and organize financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Use QuickBooks for recording and managing accounting transactions
• Provide administrative and accounting support to the accounting team
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or related field
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred
• Basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and journal entries
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively with the accounting team
