Accounting Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting and financial records.
• Record and process accounting transactions and journal entries.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Perform data entry tasks with speed and high accuracy
• Assist in bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies.
• Assist the Accounting Supervisor in preparing financial statements, accounting schedules and analysis.
• Support payroll preparation by organizing attendance records and related documents
• Provide accounting-related support for tax and BIR compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary accounting documents and information.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and financial information.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or management.
• Participate in client visits and provide on-site support when required.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting or a related field (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping and Philippine taxation and BIR compliance.
• Skilled in spreadsheet management, generating clear, actionable reports from raw data sets and to streamline data workflows
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple clients while meeting deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Core Competencies (Strong Advantage):

• Previous experience in general accounting, financial reporting and tax accounting
• Prior exposure to CRM tools and accounting systems is a plus
• Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation, accruals, financial documentation, and tax compliance
• With a valid professional driver's license
