Accounting Assistant

About the role

NXTMILE Motors Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. This is a full-time position based in Bacoor City, Cavite. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of our organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures and standards. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting the broader financial management objectives of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and account statements.
• Maintain accurate, organized accounting records and documentation.
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision.
• Verifying the accuracy of financial data and resolving discrepancies.
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Filing and archiving financial documents in accordance with company procedures.
• Supporting audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Communicating with colleagues and external parties regarding accounting matters when required.

What we're looking for

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• The ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a team environment.
• Professional communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
• Reliability and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with automotive or motor industry practices is beneficial.
