Accounting Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting and office functions. Duties

• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records using accounting and inventory software
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Maintain detailed documentation of financial transactions
• Perform daily operational tasks

Skills

• Strong understanding of GAAP & corporate accounting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software
• Knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
• Ability to perform high-volume data entry with precision (10 key typing skills)
• Familiarity with tax regulations and experience in tax-related accounting tasks is a plus
• Excellent analytical skills for account analysis
• Strong math skills and understanding of financial services concepts
• Effective organizational and communication skills for collaborating across departments and branches
• This position requires a solid foundation in accounting principles combined with technical proficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
