Accounting Assistant - Procurement

About the role

This role involves resolving billing payments for receipts and payments to different vendors and managing a range of accounting clerical duties to support the organization's financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform billing payment resolutions for receipts and payments to different vendors
• Perform a variety of accounting clerical duties including data entry, filing, and preparation of financial statements and reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
• Provide support for the month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in the implementation of new accounting systems and procedures

About you

• At least 1-2 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel) applications
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications in Accounting or a related field would be an advantage
