What they need
- Supervise and guide accounting assistants, clerks, or junior accountants.
- Review journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor bank reconciliations and account balance reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate internal and external audit requirements.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff performance.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and escalate significant issues when necessary.
