Accounting Associate

About the role
We seeking an Accounting Associate to join our finance team in San Fernando, Pampanga. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our accounting operations and financial management functions. As an Accounting Associate, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing essential support to our accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to develop your accounting expertise whilst contributing to the financial integrity of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, ledger accounts, and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and documentation required for internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjusting entries
• Maintaining organised and accurate financial records using accounting software and systems
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment authorisation
• Performing data entry and verification tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
• Supporting audit activities by providing requested documentation and explanations of transactions
• Collaborating with other members of the accounting team to ensure smooth financial operations

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification
• Knowledge of accounting principles, generally accepted accounting practices, and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
• Professional demeanour and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Reliability and strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines
• Preferred: Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, experience with payroll processing, or familiarity with auditing procedures
