About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join our Finance team at our Makati City, Metro Manila office on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential support to our accounting operations, contributing to the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and reporting. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of BENSON INDUSTRIAL COLD STORAGE INC. and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and recording financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation
• Supporting the audit process by gathering and preparing required documentation
• Performing data entry and verification tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
• Assisting with expense tracking, invoice processing and payment authorisation
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and analysis for management
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and queries
• Ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel with strong data management skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, general ledger procedures and financial reporting
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work accurately with numerical data and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory requirements in the Philippines is advantageous
• Professional attitude with commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
