Accounting Associate

About the role

The Accounting Associate is responsible for handling daily accounting transactions, processing invoices and payments, monitoring project expenses, and maintaining accurate financial records for the company and its construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily accounting transactions.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Prepare vouchers, invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
• Monitor project expenses and accounting documents.
• Process cash advances and liquidation.
• Assist in billing, collection, and payment processing.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly accounting reports.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents.
• Assist with BIR compliance and audit requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2-3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction/project-related accounting is required.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and BIR requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
