Accounting Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join our Finance Department at Healthway QualiMed Hospital Iloilo on a full-time basis. This position is based in Iloilo City, Iloilo and offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your accounting career within a dynamic healthcare environment. As an Accounting Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and contributing to the efficient functioning of our finance team. Your work will directly impact the hospital's financial health and operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers in accordance with hospital accounting policies and procedures
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Preparing bank reconciliations and assisting with cash management activities
• Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing payments and tracking outstanding invoices

What we're looking for

• A qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, or any related business courses.
