Accounting Associate

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to manage our day-to-day financial transactions, supplier accounts, and tax reporting. This role ensures accurate vendor payments, maintains financial records in QuickBooks, and supports general accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Processing: Verify, process, and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
• Document Validation: Match Sales Invoices, Delivery Reports, and Purchase Orders against Receiving Log Sheets, validating prices, quantities, item descriptions, and computations.
• Supplier Account Management: Establish and maintain positive supplier relations and accurate vendor records.
• System Entry: Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in QuickBooks.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare BIR Form 2307 (Certificate of Creditable Tax Withheld at Source) for applicable vendor payments.
• Disbursements: Facilitate timely cash releases or direct bank deposit payments to suppliers.
• Ad-Hoc Support: Perform other related accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Accounting Associate or in a similar AP role.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong background in income statement analysis and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Work Schedule & Location

• Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Work Location: Mezzanine Floor, North Gate Centre, Gov. M. Cuenco Ave., Cebu City

• Landmark: Beside UC Banilad, across Gaisano Country Mall
