Accounting Associate

A dynamic drilling and cutting tool firm headquartered just east of Downtown Houston, Texas is looking for an motivated and experienced Accounting Associate to handle its day-to-day accounting and administrative duties. This position will report directly to the CFO and have high visibility with Company Management.

Responsibilities include:

• Accounts Payable: including coding, data entry, and reviewing vendor invoices against purchase orders for accuracy.
• Accounts receivable: including daily processing and distribution of client invoices, payment receipts, collections and account reconciliation.
• Process expense reports and ensure we have proper documentation
• Generate ad-hoc reports related to but not limited to sales, pricing, customer tracking, order tracking
• Process ACH, Check and credit card deposits daily.
• General Ledger maintenance and reconciliation
• Record keeping/filling Database management: ensuring the database has current client & vendor information
• ERP System trouble shooting: working with our vendor when problems arise. Find ways to maximize the functions within the system to increase efficiency.
• Additional administrative responsibilities as needed
• Special projects as needed

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

• Two years administrative and accounting experience
• Must be a quick learner and self-starter who is able to work independently
• Must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent
• A strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional attitude in interactions with clients, vendors and the team is a must.

Familiarity with Epicor Prophet 21 software is a plus.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Casual work environment with supplemented comprehensive health insurance is available for all full time employees including matching 401K, medical, dental and vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
