About the Role

The Accounting Associate – Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing the company's billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes while ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role supports the Finance team by maintaining timely collections, preparing financial reports, assisting in tax compliance, and contributing to efficient accounting operations.

Job Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Management

• Prepare and issue invoices, official receipts, collection receipts, acknowledgment receipts, and Statements of Account (SOA).
• Monitor accounts receivable balances, aging reports, and collection activities.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing or payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of customer deposits and collections.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and update collection reports, sales reports, and accounts receivable schedules.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of receivable transactions.

Compliance and Audit Support

• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax requirements, including VAT, BIR Form 1606, SLSP, Alphalist, and other statutory reports.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
• Maintain organized financial records in compliance with BIR regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.

Coordination and Process Improvement

• Coordinate with clients, banks, and internal departments to resolve billing and collection concerns.
• Recommend process improvements to strengthen receivable management and operational efficiency.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or General Accounting.
• Working knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, and accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Experience in the real estate, property development, construction, or related industry is an advantage.
