Reyna’s BBQ & Cocina is seeking an experienced Accounting Associate to lead and strengthen the accounting function for our growing restaurant organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional who understands restaurant accounting, operational finance, technology, and team development. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing details while also improving systems, supporting restaurant leadership, and helping build scalable financial processes.

Position Overview

The Accounting Associate will work closely with ownership, accounting staff, and restaurant leadership to maintain accurate financial records, improve reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support informed business decisions.

The successful candidate will bring strong restaurant accounting experience, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.

Key Responsibilities

● Operating day-to-day accounting operations for a multi-unit restaurant organization

● Operate daily sales and cash reconciliations

● Operate accounts payable and accounts receivable

● Complete bank and credit card reconciliations

● Lead the month-end close process

● Prepare and complete financial statements and management reports

● Monitor food and beverage cost of goods sold

● Support inventory and purchasing controls

● Complete labor and payroll reporting

● Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

● Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures

● Identify financial and operational issues and help develop practical solutions

● Communicate financial results and trends to restaurant and senior leadership

● Promote accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Required and Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

● Restaurant accounting, preferably in a multi-unit environment

● Restaurant365 (R365) reconciliation and bank activity

● QuickBooks knowledge and understanding

● Toast POS or comparable restaurant point-of-sale systems

● Daily sales and cash reconciliation

● Accounts payable and accounts receivable

● Bank and credit card reconciliations

● Month-end close

● Financial reporting

● Food and beverage COGS

● Inventory and purchasing

● Labor and payroll reporting

● Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

● Internal controls and financial process improvement

● Depreciation knowledge regarding equipment

Restaurant accounting experience is required.
Restaurant365 and Toast experience are strongly preferred.
