An opportunity at the heart of an international company! VS Consulting Group supports SMEs, mid-sized companies and international groups in transforming and optimizing their Finance functions. As part of our development in Belgium, we are looking for a dynamic and driven Accounting Consultant. You will be acting as a business partner to clients by providing accounting and finance advice.

About the Role

As Accounting Consultant you will support our clients for the following tasks:

• Managing general accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Processing supplier invoices and customer invoices.
• Monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Performing bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
• Preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
• Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Preparing VAT returns and other statutory declarations.
• Ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and audit files.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.

Required Skills

• 1- 5 of experience in accounting (previous experience in BIG4 is a plus)
• Comfortable working in multi-client environments
• Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
• Fluent in French with professional proficiency in English and/or Dutch.
• Strong command of digital tools, AI and ERP systems; knowledge of Odoo is a plus.
• Leadership, autonomy, entrepreneurial mindset and a strong results-oriented approach.
