Accounting Associate

About the role

Accounting Assistant (Tax) role involving preparation of financial documents, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and tax-related activities. Handle manual bookkeeping of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) book of accounts and assist managers on tax filing and various tax-related reports.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare check vouchers, creditable withholding tax, and financial entries for disbursement
• Review contracts of suppliers, lease etc.
• Prepare official receipts and financial entries for collections
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and accounting of cash balance
• Prepare monthly journal entries, income statements, balance sheets, financial schedules, and cash flow statements
• Handle manual bookkeeping of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) book of accounts (general journal, ledger, cash disbursement, cash receipt)
• Assist the Managers on tax filing and in the preparation of various tax-related reports and computations
• Handle other BIR transactions (application/update of BIR registration, authority to print and registration to Electronic Filing and Payment System (EFPS) facility)
• Assist in the regular internal, external, and BIR audit activities
• Handle filing of audited financial statements

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
• Preferably with 3 years of experience in general accounting, taxation, and audit work
