As we continue to grow, we're looking for a driven and experienced Superintendent to join our team and help manage the day-to-day construction activities of our projects.

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support the accounting activities of multiple operating companies. This position provides exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable and possesses strong financial systems skills preferably in NetSuite, Excel and AppFolio.

Responsibilities

• Utilize financial software and Excel in the performance of data entry functions.
• Use NetSuite, AppFolio and ECI MarkSystems software in performance of duties.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding of vendor invoices.
• Code and enter invoices; respond to vendor inquiries; and file AP documentation.
• Process daily mail, emails and voice mails received by department.
• Maintain fleet documentation, insurance, gas cards, and vehicle titling and registrations.
• Perform various types of reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly close activities.
• Annual Form 1099 prep; annual insurance audit document retrieval; research or project assistance as needed.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounts payable processes required; in residential construction, a plus.
• Proficiency in accurately reading a tenant ledger and timely processing tenant move-outs.
• Data entry, 10-key proficiency and accurate and speedy touch-typing skills
• Coding with accuracy invoices from vendors; using POs to prevent duplication or over payment.
• MS Excel spreadsheet: intermediate skill level including commonly used formulas.
• Proficiency coding and entering basic repetitive journal entries.
• Proficiency in MS suite of apps including Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.

Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• One (1) to two (2) years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required.
• Experience with NetSuite, AppFolio, or ECI MarkSystems preferred.
• Property management or residential construction accounting experience a plus.
