Accounting Clerk

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced work environment. This position will provide support across various accounting functions, with a focus on Accounts Payable, reconciliations, financial record keeping, and other accounting-related duties as required.

Work Experience

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in high-volume Accounts Payable processing and general accounting functions preferred.
• Experience with vendor setup, W-9 requirements, and maintaining accurate vendor records.
• Experience processing invoices, managing vendor accounts, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payment processing.
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Experience investigating and resolving invoice, payment, and account discrepancies.
• Knowledge and experience using office equipment, including computers, scanners, copiers, and other administrative tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word; experience with Outlook is preferred.
• Strong data entry skills, including proficiency with 10-key.
• Previous dealership accounting experience and familiarity with relevant accounting software (such as Reynolds & Reynolds) is an asset but not required.
• Experience with vehicle licensing, registrations, or related dealership documentation is an asset but not required.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent accounting or business experience may be considered.

• Proficient filing and record management skills, including alphabetical and numerical filing systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability and willingness to assist with vehicle licensing and registration processes as required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
