Accounting Clerk position in Oklahoma City

Location: Northwest Oklahoma City, OK

Pay: Up to $28/hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a team in Northwest Oklahoma City. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional with a solid understanding of accounting principles and hands-on experience supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and general accounting tasks. We are looking for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable working with financial records and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoices, payments, and customer billing
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting
• Perform data entry and ensure accounting information is entered accurately into the system
• Support additional accounting functions and projects as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounting clerk or similar accounting support role
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and standard accounting procedures
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting functions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
