Accounting Clerk

Position Title: Temporary Accounting Clerk (Full-Time, On-Site)
Employer: HumanEdge Gov Solutions
Assignment: CAL FIRE, Departmental Accounting Office
Work Location: 710 Riverpoint Court, West Sacramento, CA 95605
Pay: $20/hr (W-2)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays)
Assignment Term: Limited-term assignment, expected to run through June 2028

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Audit, reconcile, and process invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment
• Keep and review financial and statistical records
• Perform high-volume data entry with a high level of accuracy using Microsoft Excel and internal systems
• Respond to vendors, staff, and internal departments in a professional, customer-service manner
• Complete CAL FIRE on-the-job training and meet daily production expectations after the three-month training period

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience keeping or reviewing financial or statistical records
• 1+ year of experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role
• Experience handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Experience auditing, reconciling, and processing invoices
• Accurate data entry skills
• Experience using Microsoft Excel
• Customer service experience

Employment Details:

• Employed by HumanEdge Gov Solutions and assigned to CAL FIRE; temporary position that will not convert to permanent State employment
• 100% onsite; not eligible for telework or remote work
• Must be available to interview with CAL FIRE within two weeks of submission and start within two weeks of an offer
• Paid sick leave provided in accordance with California law
