About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join our finance team in the Central Region on a full-time basis. This role is central to our financial operations, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial accounting and reporting across the organisation. You will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, preparing financial statements and supporting the broader finance function in delivering high-quality financial information to stakeholders and management. This is a key position that directly impacts the credibility and effectiveness of our financial reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
• Preparing and reconciling general ledger accounts on a regular basis to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
• Performing account reconciliations including bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet account reviews
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies or anomalies in financial data and working with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution
• Maintaining organised and accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Assisting with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedures and consolidation activities
• Supporting internal and external audit activities by providing requested documentation and explanations
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal financial policies
• Collaborating with other finance team members and departments to gather necessary financial information and support financial analysis

What we're looking for

• A recognised accounting qualification such as a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Professional accounting certification or active progress towards certification (such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a manufacturing or trading environment
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and financial models
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy in financial work
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Demonstrable ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in account reconciliations, balance sheet management and journal entry preparation
• A methodical and organised approach to work with strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
