About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join our team at Arun Thai Jakarta on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal role that will be fundamental to ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the delivery of timely financial information to support strategic decision-making across the business. Based in Jakarta, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations and ledger accounts
• Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions in accordance with established procedures
• Conducting monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheets and income statements
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Ensuring compliance with Indonesian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Supporting the audit process by providing documentation and detailed explanations of transactions
• Monitoring and controlling expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets
• Maintaining organised financial records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
• Liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as required
• Identifying and reporting discrepancies or irregularities in financial records

What we're looking for

• Qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline (such as an HND or bachelor's degree in accounting)
• Proven experience in a financial accounting and reporting role, ideally within the hospitality or food and beverage industry
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to produce detailed financial reports and analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Reliable, trustworthy and committed to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Knowledge of internal controls and risk management practices
