About the role

Polystar Manpower Services is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounting professional to join our Finance team on a full-time basis. Based in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, this role is central to maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our organisation. As an Accounting professional, you will play a vital part in our financial operations, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and financial statements are prepared in accordance with established accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team whilst contributing to the strategic financial objectives of Polystar Manpower Services.

What you'll be doing

• Recording financial transactions and maintaining general ledger accounts with precision and accuracy
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other balance sheet accounts
• Preparing trial balances and assisting in the compilation of financial statements
• Processing invoices, purchase orders and payment vouchers in a timely manner
• Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for management review
• Maintaining proper documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assisting with internal and external audit processes as required
• Supporting the accounts department with ad-hoc financial tasks and special projects
• Ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or relevant accounting standards

What we're looking for

• A qualification in Accountancy, Finance or a related field (bachelor's degree or higher diploma)
• Professional accounting certifications such as CPA, CMA, or similar recognised credentials are preferred
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a service-based or manpower recruitment environment
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications such as Excel, QuickBooks or SAP
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in both oral and written communication, including the ability to explain financial information clearly
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with colleagues
• Sound knowledge of tax compliance and payroll accounting is advantageous
