Accounting Contractor

Our client is looking for a Tax CPA/Accounting Contractor . This is an indefinite contract with strong extension potential and is fully remote within the U.S. In this role, you'll support the development of a new platform for non-legal tax professionals by leveraging your accounting expertise, content development skills, and industry knowledge to create and evaluate resources that accountants and CPAs rely on.

This experienced accounting professional will serve as a subject matter expert, helping shape innovative accounting content, tools, and resources for one of the world's leading legal and business information providers. You'll work closely with editorial, product, and legal teams while contributing to a high-impact initiative focused on transforming how tax and accounting professionals access information and insights.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of accounting experience (significantly more preferred)
• Active CPA certification
• Strong accounting and tax expertise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience researching, creating, editing, or reviewing accounting content and guidance
• Ability to translate complex accounting topics into practical business guidance
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or Gemini
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines

Desired Skills & Experience

• Big Four accounting firm experience (PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG)
• Professional tax or accounting writing and analysis experience
• JD, LLM, or advanced tax-related degree
• Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation (EBEC) experience
• Experience developing AI-assisted content or evaluating AI-generated outputs
• Experience with accounting research tools, Lexis+, or Lexis+ AI
• Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI
• Experience collaborating with editorial, content, or product development teams
