Accounting Director

About the role

Lead and oversee accounting, finance, and cost management for industrial manufacturing operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, cost efficiency, and effective risk management. Drive financial planning, working capital management, and financial insights to support business performance and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, financial closing, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and financial risks, including foreign exchange and interest rate exposure.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, CAPEX planning, and budget variance analysis.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, production cost analysis, and profitability improvement.
• Manage receivables, payables, credit control, taxation, and external audit coordination.
• Strengthen financial systems, processes, reporting accuracy, and cross-functional integration.
• Lead and develop accounting, finance, and costing managers to achieve departmental and business objectives.

About you

• Proven leadership experience in accounting and finance within industrial manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, cost variances, and profitability analysis.
• Experience in budgeting, financial planning, cash flow, working capital, and financial risk management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple functions, develop management teams, and communicate effectively with senior executives.
