Job Overview

CCastle Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Director to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting across our three locations. The Accounting Director will oversee the accounting function across all locations, including financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll-related accounting, and audit preparation. This individual will also coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor financial performance, investigate discrepancies, and implement standardized accounting procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and accountability throughout the organization.

Reporting directly to company ownership or designated executive leadership, the Accounting Director must be capable of independently managing accounting operations, supervising accounting personnel, and communicating financial results and concerns effectively. The ideal candidate will hold an active CPA license and have experience overseeing accounting for multiple locations or business entities.

Experience in hospitality, resorts, spas, food and beverage, or other multi-location service businesses is strongly preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Location Accounting Oversight

  • Oversee accounting operations across all three CCastle Group locations.
  • Establish and maintain consistent accounting policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
  • Review financial records and location-level results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies between locations or business entities.
  • Coordinate with location management to ensure compliance with company accounting procedures.

Financial Reporting and Closing

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, general ledger activity, and management reports.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented.
  • Deliver timely and reliable financial reports to company ownership.

Internal Controls and Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and monitor accounting controls and approval procedures.
  • Review revenue records, vendor payments, payroll-related accounting, and other financial transactions for accuracy.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate irregularities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate audit preparation and work with external auditors, tax professionals, and other financial advisors.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and reporting deadlines.

Budgeting and Financial Analysis

  • Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting across all three locations.
  • Analyze revenue, operating expenses, labor costs, and budget-to-actual variances.
  • Monitor cash flow and identify financial risks or opportunities for improved cost control.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support ownership's business decisions.
  • Identify trends and recurring discrepancies requiring management attention.

Team Leadership and Process Improvement

  • Supervise, train, and develop accounting personnel.
  • Establish clear responsibilities, review procedures, and reporting deadlines.
  • Standardize accounting workflows and documentation across locations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain organized financial records and promote accountability throughout the accounting function.

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior accounting or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing accounting operations across multiple locations, business units, or legal entities.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Experience with month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related accounting, cash management, tax compliance, and audit coordination.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting systems.
  • Hospitality, resort, spa, food and beverage, or other multi-location service industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate financial results directly to ownership.

  • Completion of financial closing and reconciliations within established deadlines.
  • Consistent accounting procedures and internal controls across all three locations.
  • Timely identification and resolution of financial discrepancies.
  • Reliable budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance reporting.
