ACCOUNTING EXPERT

Your tasks

Department purpose
Ensure accurate and compliant accounting operations in accordance with local statutory requirements and international Group standards. Deliver timely financial reporting and support statutory, tax, and Group reporting processes while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Main purpose of the role
Act as a key accounting subject matter expert responsible for statutory accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and process improvement activities. Ensure compliance with local regulations and Group requirements while supporting business and finance stakeholders in an international environment.
Key responsibilities

• Maintaining accounting books in compliance with Polish GAAP and Group standards
• Performing and coordinating month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Preparing statutory financial statements and supporting Group reporting processes
• Preparing and reviewing tax declarations (VAT, CIT, WHT)
• Ensuring compliance with legal, tax, and internal control requirements
• Cooperating with auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
• Performing account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
• Monitoring regulatory changes and implementing them in practice
• Supporting budgeting and controlling activities from an accounting perspective
• Driving process improvements, standardisation, and automation initiatives Participating in finance transformation and regulatory projects

Your profile

Your profile Education & Experience

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting
• Strong experience in full bookkeeping and closing processes
• Experience in statutory reporting and tax compliance
• Experience in an international environment
• Manufacturing industry experience

Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Polish accounting regulations (UoR)
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations (VAT, CIT, WHT)
• Practical IFRS knowledge
• Experience with tax incentives (PSI) will be considered an asset

Systems

• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience with reporting and consolidation tools is a plus

Audit & Compliance

• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance frameworks
• Experience supporting external audits and tax inspections
• Understanding of Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles

Language

• Good command of English and Polish, both spoken and written
• Ability to work with financial reporting and documentation in an international environment
