Accounting Head

Job Summary

The Accounting Head leads and manages the organization's accounting department, ensuring total financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and fiscal health. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, financial statement preparation, tax planning and filing, internal controls, and budget monitoring. Holding an active CPA license, the Accounting Head acts as a strategic key advisor to executive leadership on financial status, risk management, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes and prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions, reconciliations, journal entries, and trial balance integrity.
• Prepare detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, and operational reports for the President and senior leadership.
• Direct the preparation and submission of all local, regional, and national tax returns, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and tax codes.
• Lead and coordinate internal audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Develop, implement, and enforce robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
• Evaluate and optimize accounting software systems to streamline workflows, eliminate errors, and automate reporting processes.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow forecasts, AR, and AP to maintain optimal liquidity.
• Collaborate with department managers to assist in annual budget formulation and regularly track actual performance against budget.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate accounting team members to foster high performance.

Qualifications and Credentials

• Must be Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• High level of expertise in accounting software.
• In-depth knowledge of local tax laws, and statutory reporting.

Pay: From Php60,000.00 per month
