Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting professional to join our team, supporting our operations on a global e-commerce platform. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.
• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
• Utilize financial software such as PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or similar platforms to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
• Perform detailed Excel data analysis using functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and spreadsheets for financial reporting and forecasting.
• Assist in regulatory reporting obligations related to securities law, governmental accounting standards, or other compliance frameworks.
• Mentor junior team members in technical accounting practices, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial management activities to optimize resource allocation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience in financial accounting within a corporate or public accounting setting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, regulatory requirements, and financial concepts such as debits & credits and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency with accounting software including PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, Quicken or similar systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
• Demonstrated ability in financial report writing, interpretation of financial statements, and financial analysis techniques such as Excel data analysis and forecasting.
• Experience with account reconciliation processes including bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
• Knowledge of securities law, governmental accounting standards, non-profit accounting practices (LIHTC), or Wills & Trusts law is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
• Strong communication skills for mentoring team members and collaborating across departments.
