Accounting Intern

About the role

Federal Land, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance and Accounting department in Makati City, Metro Manila.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Support the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Help with the organization and filing of financial documents and records
• Assist in data entry for invoices, receipts, and other financial documents into accounting systems
• Support the preparation of bank reconciliations and account statements
• Help prepare routine financial reports and statements under supervision
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
• Perform general clerical tasks including photocopying, filing, and document organization

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software is advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge in a real-world environment
• Reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines
