Accounting Intern

Job Summary:

• An accounting intern is responsible for supporting and assisting the day-to-day operation of the Accounting Department with their various tasks and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in including data entry and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting/financial records, including journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Support in the preparation of and analysis of financial statements and other financial data as needed.
• Preparation of vouchers for all transactions, maintaining book of accounts, and formulating daily and weekly reports.
• Assist with the balancing of the office/department budget.
• Support audits and compliance activities.
• Aid in clerical duties in the Accounting Department.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, and Google Workspaces
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Possess written and verbal communication skills
