ACCOUNTING INTERN

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join the team at USHARA Consultancy Corp on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or final-year student to gain practical experience in financial accounting and reporting within a professional consultancy environment. Based in Binondo, Manila City, this role will provide you with hands-on exposure to real-world accounting practices and help you develop the foundational skills required for a successful career in finance and accounting. This position offers the chance to work alongside experienced accounting professionals whilst contributing meaningfully to our financial operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and documentation
• Supporting the reconciliation of accounts and identification of discrepancies
• Helping with the processing and entry of financial transactions into accounting systems
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision
• Supporting compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assisting with general office administration and filing of financial documents
• Helping to monitor and track expenses and invoicing processes
• Supporting the accounts team with month-end and year-end closing activities

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or willingness to learn
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• A professional and proactive attitude with enthusiasm for learning
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly
• Previous internship or relevant work experience in accounting is advantageous
