Accounting Intern

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support the finance and accounting team with day-to-day financial and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should be willing to learn, comfortable working with numbers, and able to maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recording daily financial transactions and updating accounting records.
• Support the preparation and filing of invoices, receipts, payment records and other financial documents.
• Assist with bank reconciliation and tracking of company expenses.
• Help monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Support the preparation of basic financial reports and expense summaries.
• Assist in checking financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain proper filing and organisation of accounting records.
• Support the finance team with data entry and other administrative tasks.
• Assist with month-end accounting activities when required.
• Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with confidential financial information.
• Willingness to learn and take instructions.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Previous internship or accounting experience is an advantage but not compulsory.

The ideal candidate should be disciplined, teachable, organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers. They should be able to follow instructions, ask questions when necessary, and take responsibility for assigned tasks.

Pay: From ₦100,000.00 per month
