Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern will support the finance team in daily accounting operations, including data entry, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports. This role provides hands-on experience in accounting practices, compliance, and financial management, while contributing to the efficiency of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Support

• Assist in recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers.
• Support preparation of invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
• Help with bank reconciliations and monitoring accounts payable/receivable.

Financial Reporting

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Assist in compiling data for audits and compliance requirements.
• Prepare basic reports and summaries for management review.

Administrative Tasks

• Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation.
• Support the finance team in day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate with other departments for financial data collection.

Learning & Development

• Gain exposure to accounting systems and software.
• Learn about financial controls, compliance, and reporting standards.
• Participate in training sessions and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a professional environment.
