About the role

YML Group Outsource Manila Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Intern (OJT) to join our accounting team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a contract position designed to provide valuable on-the-job training experience in a professional accounting environment. As an Accounting Intern, you will gain practical exposure to bookkeeping and small practice accounting operations, working alongside experienced accountants to develop your foundational skills in financial management and accounting practices. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world accounting experience, whilst contributing to the efficient operation of our accounting department.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with data entry and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and expense documents
• Supporting the preparation and reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assisting in the creation and organisation of financial documentation and filing systems
• Helping with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks under supervision
• Learning and applying bookkeeping principles and accounting software systems
• Performing administrative tasks to support the accounting team, such as document scanning and filing
• Assisting with the preparation of basic financial reports and statements
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Learning compliance and tax-related documentation requirements

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree programme in Accounting, Finance, Business Course, or any related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling numerical data
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team environment
• Professional communication skills and a willingness to learn
• Basic knowledge of Philippine accounting regulations and tax requirements is preferred
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards professional development
