Accounting Lead

GH Logistics is a growing, asset-based transportation and logistics company. We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Lead who can take ownership of complex accounting projects, reconcile high-volume financial data, and turn unclear discrepancies into clear, accurate answers.

This is a hands-on accounting role. We are not looking for someone who only wants to manage a team or review reports. You will be expected to work directly in the data, investigate discrepancies, and own assigned projects from start to finish.

What You’ll Own

• Manage and reconcile carrier settlement activity
• Verify payments and identify payment discrepancies
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Reconcile large and complex financial datasets
• Research historical transactions to determine what was paid, what is owed, and where discrepancies occurred
• Own assigned back-month reconciliation projects
• Work directly with transportation-specific payment terms and carrier pay cycles
• Develop a strong understanding of GH Logistics' complete financial flow
• Assist with accounting and finance-related projects as needed
• Bring ERP knowledge and experience that can support future system development and implementation
• Work independently on time-sensitive projects with minimal supervision

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on accounting experience
• Proven AP/AR experience
• Advanced reconciliation experience
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work through large, messy datasets and identify exactly what went wrong
• ERP experience required; ERP implementation or setup experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volume
• Ability to learn transportation and trucking accounting quickly
• Self-starter who can take ownership of projects without constant follow-up
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency

Transportation or logistics accounting experience is a strong plus but is not required.
