Accounting Manager (Accounting Firm)

Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of accounting clients to ensure timely delivery of management accounts and other client deliverables
• Accounts Review: Review monthly management accounts prepared by team members and provide guidance, including withholding tax and SST compliance
• Financial Analysis: Analyse client's financial information to identify trends and discrepancies that support business decisions
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach and support junior team members to develop technical competence and ensure consistent quality of work.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement changes or automation to enhance efficiency and service quality
• Technical Research & Consultation: Support partners on complex accounting matters, prepare technical memos and propose accounting treatments in line with relevant Financial Reporting Standards
• Client Relationship: Build and maintain client relationships while proactively managing expectations
• Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with auditors, tax agents, government authorities and other external stakeholders as needed

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, ACCA, MIA, CPA or equivalent qualifications
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, willing to take initiative and able to take ownership of assigned tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and basic computer software applications
• Experience working in an Accounting Firm is highly valued
