ACCOUNTING MANAGER (ASAP!)

About the role

RVD FOOD GROUP is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a full-time basis, with the expectation to start as soon as possible. Based in Paranaque City, Metro Manila, this role is pivotal in overseeing financial accounting and reporting operations for our organisation. As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, implementing robust accounting practices, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's decision-making processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on the financial health and strategic direction of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare, review and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
• Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting policies, procedures and best practices
• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for significant deviations from budgeted figures
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management and external stakeholders
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and audit trails to safeguard company assets
• Liaise with external auditors and facilitate the audit process
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency enhancements in accounting operations
• Maintain compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with tax advisors on tax-related matters
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting roles, preferably in a managerial capacity
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and practices, including familiarity with both local and international accounting frameworks
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with financial management systems is essential
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to mentor junior accounting staff
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements in the Philippines
• Experience in the food and beverage or financial services sectors would be advantageous

Schedule: Monday - Saturday (9AM-6PM)
