Accounting Manager

The Accounting Supervisor / Manager is responsible for the processing of revenue related transactions. The tasks include review of percentage of completion, preparation of invoices, statements of account, billing, collection letters, and preparation of accounts receivable reports. He or she is also in-charge of reviewing and reconciling clients accounts, and scheduling and coordination for collections.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Review accuracy of accounting entries
• Verify validity of requests for operational cash advances and review their eventual liquidation
• Check accuracy of billings or invoices to customers/clients
• Perform reconciliation of accounts with suppliers, related parties, and others to confirm accuracy of figures
• Provide timely and accurate financial information for statutory and management purposes
• Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows)
• Provide analysis and interpretation of financial statements/data (variance and ratio analysis)
• Conduct review of various accounting reports and books of original entry
• Institute effective accounting systems
• Ensure adherence to financial systems control and procedures in various areas (payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger)
• Coordinate with external auditors; provide schedules and assistance for yearly audits; address audit and local tax issues when necessary
• Handle tax and statutory requirements
• Coordinate with Engineering and Operations on issues with accounting impact (evaluated contract accomplishment, status of subcontract work accounts, reconciliation of recorded figures vs. Engineering records)
• Supervise and oversee project accountants and head office accounting personnel
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, BS Accountancy
• Required skill(s): accounts payable and/or general accounting, proficient in accounting software
• Required language(s): English, Filipino
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position (with at least 1 year experience as a Supervisor)
• Construction industry background is a must
• Applicants must be willing to work in Talisay City
