Accounting Manager

·       Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

·       Ensure an accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports and information.

·       Assist the Controller with the daily banking requirements.

·       Manage Cash and prepare Cash forecast and projections for Budgeting purposes.

·      Ensure timely payments of the Company’s expenditures including review and checking of Service expenses and preparation of payroll.

·       Manage and ensure Bank Compliance activities and other Bank transactions.

·       Prepare and Support Budget and Forecasting activities.

·       Collaborates with other department’s managers to support overall department and company goals and objectives.

·       Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

·       Responds to inquiries from the Controller and other finance firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.

·       Supervise and train accounting staff.

·       Assist in development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.

·       Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.

·       Monitor and review reports of Admin. and operation staff.

·       Monitor & Improve Internal Controls.

·       Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.

·       Handle and Monitor Baan Accounting System transactions.

·       Monitor tax deadlines with the BIR & other gov’t compliances.

·       Work closely with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.

·       Liaise with the auditors to facilitate year-end financial audit and handle BIR Audits.

·       Work directly with the General Manager with regards to creation and implementation of company rules and policy.

·       Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

·       Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

·       5+ years of experience in a similar role

·       Previous knowledge and experience in General Accounting, Financial Reporting, Corporate Taxation.

·       Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

·       Meticulous Attention to detail, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
