Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join 8Sphere Distribution Corp. in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions of our organisation. As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the accounting department team, including recruiting, training, and performance management of accounting staff
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support organisational objectives
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies and procedures
• Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud
• Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate audit processes and tax filings
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support strategic decision-making
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency measures within the accounting function

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification)
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
• Excellent understanding of tax compliance, payroll processing, and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and mentoring accounting teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or similar is highly desirable
