Accounting Manager

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations, while supporting the organization's overall financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a strategic partner by supporting the development and implementation of the company's financial and operational plans
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Supervise, train, and review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
• Review and authorize VAT returns, VIES forms, and other statutory submissions
• Prepare and analyse management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
• Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders on accounting and tax-related matters
• Provide clients with guidance and advice on accounting, VAT, and compliance issues
• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery
• Monitor project efficiency, ensure timely invoicing, and follow up on outstanding payments
• Present financial results and insights to senior management to support decision-making
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified with a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Over 5 years of audit firm experience, including at least 3 years post qualification
• Excellent knowledge of Cyprus accounting standards and regulations
• Exposure in accounting software (e.g.E-soft, Odoo)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Effective teamwork and independent working capabilities
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English
• IT literate and adaptable
• High integrity and a positive, can-do attitude
